Single PTZ to Workstation & Analog Control Station
Remote AutoDome with network connection to be viewed and controlled via a PC or analog monitor/keyboard combination.
Example: A camera at the gate entrance needs to be viewed in the guard shack and the company president.
Solution:
A fixed or PTZ CCTV camera is connected to an encoder using standard coax cable and RS232 if necessary. The encoder digitally compresses the signals for transmission across the Ethernet network.
There are two ways to view the video and control the
PTZ camera:
- Use a decoder that decompresses the signal for viewing on a standard CCTV video monitor and a Bosch LTC 5136 series Controller keyboard.
- A PC user can view the video and control the PTZ camera using a standard web browser program (such as Windows Internet Explorer or Netscape) or via Bosch Video Management System.
Notes:
- This is a single keyboard per camera solution. To use a CCTV keyboard to also provide camera switching see Virtual Switcher.
- If a VIP XD is used, the VGA output may offer more options when selecting a monitor, which might be more space efficient.
