Multiple Camera Network Recording
Multiple remote cameras need to be recorded for extended periods and saved in a secure location. Viewing to be via a PC.
Example: Bank cameras with fulltime and motion/alarm recording. All storage can be both on the encoder’s hard drive as well as on the centralized NVR Server located in the IT network closet.
Solution:
Standard CCTV cameras are connected to encoders using standard coax cable. The encoders optionally record the video on their internal hard drive (if present) and stream across the Ethernet network. Continuous as well as alarm video is recorded on a Bosch Network Video Recorder (NVR), and stored safely on a RAID 5 disk array.
ANR technology (only supported on VIDOS-NVR), using the local buffered recording on the VideoJet, ensures no loss of recordings in the event of a network outage. As required the cameras and recordings can be viewed on the PC. The PC user can view the live and/or recorded video images using a standard web browser program (such as Windows Internet Explorer or Netscape) or via a Bosch Video Management System.
Notes:
It is possible to store centrally on an NVR without recording the video in the encoder. This is a common application of a VIP encoder and excludes the ANR capability option.
