Application:
Remote camera needs to be recorded and viewed on a PC.

Example: Remote cell tower camera with limited motion/alarm recording within the encoder, just like a DVR. On demand the camera and recorded video can be viewed on the PC.

Solution:
Standard CCTV camera is connected to a Bosch VideoJet series encoder using standard coax cable. The encoder digitally compresses the signal for transmission across the Ethernet network and locally stores the images using on-board storage media. The PC user can view the live and/or recorded video using a Bosch Video Management System.

Notes:

• Every VideoJet encoder has the option of embedded storage, and depending on the model this can go up to an 80 GB embedded HDD for the VideoJet X series.
