Application:
Video and audio needs to be monitored remotely.

Solution:
Standard CCTV camera and microphone is connected to the encoder.  The encoder digitally compresses the video and audio signals for transmission across the Ethernet network.

There are two ways to view the video and hear the audio:

1. Use a decoder that decompresses the video and audio signals for viewing/listening using a standard CCTV video monitor and audio amplifier and speaker.
2. With a PC, using a standard web browser program (such as Windows Internet Explorer or Netscape) or via the Bosch VMS software.

Notes:

1. The encoders and decoders support line level inputs and outputs. This means that microphones need a pre-amplifer and unless you are using headphones the output must first be amplified before driving a loudspeaker.
2. If an NVR or local storage is introduced then both the audio and video can be recorded.
